As a member, you homeschool your child while we provide accountability, structure, and official documentation to keep you in compliance with state requirements.
YOUR ROLE AS THE PARENT
As a member of UFSI, you are the primary educator and agree to:
✔ Provide a minimum of 180 instructional days per year
✔ Teach required subjects: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies
✔ Maintain a lesson plan or instructional log
✔ Maintain a portfolio of student work
✔ Complete two progress reports annually

Does not provide instruction or curriculum
Does not act as a school
Does not assume responsibility for your child’s education
Parents remain fully responsible for all instruction and educational decisions.

UFSI may request confirmation of compliance (such as progress reports) to ensure legal requirements are being met.

Families can transition back to public or private school. Placement will be determined by the receiving school.

Your membership becomes active once your payment is received and processed.
You will then receive confirmation and documentation.

If membership is not maintained, you will no longer be in compliance under UFSI Homeschool Association.
Active membership is required to remain legally covered under Option 3.

You may enroll multiple children under your membership. Be sure to include each child on your enrollment form.
