Cultivating Freedom Together!

The Freedom Farm Festival

Rooted in legacy, grown in liberation. Join us for a powerful day of culture, connection, and celebration at The Freedom Farm Festival, where the soil tells stories and every seed sown is a step toward sovereignty.

Inspired by the bold vision of Fannie Lou Hamer’s Freedom Farm Cooperative and the resilience of Victory Gardens from post-WWI & WWII eras, this festival honors the past while cultivating the future. Set on the sacred grounds of UHURU FARMS, we’re weaving the wisdom of AfroIndigenous and Gullah Geechee traditions into a living, breathing tribute to land, liberation, and legacy.

  • Feel the rhythm of African singing, sweetgrass weaving, drumming, and dance.

  • Embark on a Foraging Hike to discover edible and medicinal plants native to our region.

  • Learn the ancient art of Archery—focus, strength, and heritage in motion.

  • Experience the joy of our Pick-Your-Own-Salad Adventure, straight from the earth to your plate.

This is more than a festival—it’s a movement.

Freedom is a Way of Life.

Freedom is educating our own children with love and purpose.

Freedom is growing our own food, reclaiming our relationship with the land.

Freedom is sharing the surplus with our communities, so all may thrive.

Freedom is fortifying our bodies, minds, and spirits with nature as our source.

Freedom is The Freedom to BE…. In Joy. In Resistance. In Sovereignty.

Whether you come to connect, learn, or simply celebrate, the Freedom Farm Festival is where community grows wild and free. All are welcome to gather, ground, and grow with us.

Freedom is in the roots. Let's cultivate ittogether.
